Starting a Project . . .
After your initial enquiry we will visit you and have a chat to find out what you are looking at achieving. During this time we may take some measurements and throw a few ideas into the pot.
We'll then go away and work out some costings, often giving you options. Once you have agreed both what the project consists of and the price, we will often create a drawing showing the different elements of the project along with a planting plan where necessary.
We will also at this time agree on a starting date as well as an estimated completion time.
When we start the project out team will arrive to do any ground clearance work or preparation. Then all of the elements will be marked out on the ground and you will be given the opportunity at this time to ammend any parts of the project.
Once things are cleared out of the way it is often easier to get a better idea of the finished result. Then we can start to put things back together again.
firstly, after levels have been established and If walls are to be part of the project design we will dig out footings and fill with concrete. Walls can then be started, Decking constructed or maybe Fencing. At this stage we would perhaps also construct a Garage or outbuilding. This is where the real art of Landscaping comes in to play. The establishing of levels and moving the land around, sculpturing the bare backbones of what it will finally become. Patios, Drives and Paths all go in at this stage.
Then we can start to bring the project together with the setting out of Lawned Areas and Flower Beds. Turf can now be laid for an instant transformation or, after good preparation, Grass seed can be set.
Plants are almost the last thing on the agenda. We can either advise, or undertake a Planting Theme, or leave it to you.
